HARIANHALMAHERA.COM–<\/strong><\/em>Langkah penanggulangan pasca banjir yang menerjang sejumlah desa di Kecamatan Weda Tengah, mulai dilakukan Pemkab Halmahera Tengah (Halteng).<\/p>\n

Dengan menggandeng PT IWIP, sejumlah alat berat perusahaan pun diterjunkan ke lokasi untuk melakukan pengerukan dan normalisasi sungai Kobe serta drainase di beberapa lokasi yang terendam banjir.<\/p>\n

Wakil Bupati (wabup) Halteng Abdul Rahim Odeyani mengatakan, normalisasi sungai dengan menggandeng PT IWIP ini adalah arahan langsung dari Bupati Edi Langkara (elang). “Alhamdulillah sejak kemarin PT. IWIP telah mengarahkan alat berat dan mulai kegiatan lapangan,” tukasnya.<\/p>\n

Kepala BPDB Halteng Rais Musa mengatakan, banjir yang terjadi di tiga beberapa desa di Weda Tengah ini dipicu luapan air di Sungai Kobe menyusul curah hujan yang tinggi sejak beberapa pekan terakhir.\u00a0 “Kami juga telah melalukan pemantauan sampai dengan hari ini, air sudah surut dan Alhamdulillah tidak ada warga yang mengungsi,” katanya.<\/p>\n

Namun, mengingat suaca ekstrim masih akan terus terjadi beberapa hari kedepan, dia meminta warga gar tetap waspada. Kemarin, Badan BPDB juga telah menyalurkan bantuan kepada warga korban banjir.<\/p>\n

Bantuan berupa sembilan bahan pokok (sembako) ini diberikan kepada warga tiga desa di Weda Tengah yakni desa Woekob, Wojerana dan Kobe Kulo.<\/p>\n

Sebelumnya Pemkab juga telah menyalurkan bantuan sembako kepada warga terdampak banjir di Desa Lukulamo.\u00a0 “Bantuan ini bertujuan untuk meringankan beban masyarakat yang terdampak, mengingat banjir tersebut menghambat kegiatan ekonomi masyarakat,” pinta Wabup.
