HARIANHALMAHERA.COM–<\/strong><\/em>USAI menjalani operasi kelamin , Dorce merasa seperti seorang bayi yang baru lahir. Saat itu mulai terpikir olehnya untuk menyempurnakan nama Dorce itu dengan nama komersial yang lain.<\/p>\n

Banyak nama tambahan yang pernah diberkian rekan-rekan sesama artis atau para penggemar kepada Dorce semenjak menjadi orang panggung.<\/p>\n

Salah satunya, dari Almarhum Benyamin Sueb. Pemeran Kasdullah, ayah dari Si Doel dalam film ‘Si Doel Anak Sekolahan’ itu memberikan beberapa nama panggung kepada Dorce<\/p>\n

Mulai dari Dorce LKPR, alias Dorce Laki-laki Perempuan, Dorce Orang Aring, Dorce Emco. Tidak hanya itu, Dorce juga pernah diberi julukan Dorce Ashadi, Dorce Urang Aring, Dorce Manice hingga Dorce Elkafeer.<\/p>\n

Tapi, semua itu rupanya tak berhasil melambungkan namanya sehingga kemudian sirna dengan sendirinya.<\/p>\n

Perjalanan waktu jualah yang akhirnya memunculkan ide nama Dorce Gamalama itu. Suatu hari ia tepat pada tahun 1984, Dorce diundang untuk menyanyi di Ternate bersama alharmum Benyamin Sueb.<\/p>\n

Saat tiba di Ternate Dirce melihat Gunung Gamalama yang tampak cantik dan tegar sendirian. Dia merasa, nama gunung itu terdengar feminin tapi juga mencerminkan kekuatan.<\/p>\n

Setelah mendapat restu dari Sultan Ternate, Dorce pun akhirnya memutuskan nama baru untuk \u2018kelahiran\u2019 keduanya: Dorce Gamalama Ashadi! Nama Ashadi di belakangnya itu adalah nama ayahnya yang telah mewariskan darah seni pada dirinya.<\/p>\n

Setelah memakai nama ‘Gamalama’ di belakang namanya, karir Dorce pun meroket di dunia hiburan Tanah Air.<\/p>\n

Tahun 1990, pulang dari menunaikan ibadah haji, Dorce menambahkan lagi nama Arab di belakang namanya. Nama lengkap Dorce terakhir menjadi Hajah Dorce Halimatussa\u2019diyah Gamalama Ashadi. Nama Halimatussa\u2019diyah tersebut diambil Dorce dari nama ibu susu Nabi Muhammad.<\/p>\n

Sementara nama Dorce sendiri diberikan oleh Myrna, kelompok tari waria Fantastic Dolls. Nama tersebut diberikan karena Dorce sering memposisikan sebagai seorang perempuan.(pur)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
