HARIANHALMAHERA.COM–<\/em><\/strong>Program pemerintah untuk membangun sekolah baru, ternyata lebih diprioritaskan bagi sekolah menengah kejuruan (SMK). Hal ini sebagaimana penegasan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Mendikbud) Muhadjir Effendy.<\/p>\n

\u201cSaat ini, jumlah SMK mencapai 14.000-an, kami harapkan bisa meningkat lagi jumlah SMK,” ujarnya di Jakarta, beberapa waktu lalu, melansir\u00a0republika.co.id<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sedangkan untuk Sekolah Dasar (SD), lanjut Muhadjir, akan dilakukan penggabungan. Alasannya jumlah siswa SD semakin sedikit. Sementara untuk SMP dan SMA tetap akan ditingkatkan jumlah sekolahnya, tetapi lebih sedikit dibandingkan SMK.<\/p>\n

“Tahun ini rencananya bangun sekitar 1.000 sekolah baru. Untuk pembangunan sekolah baru dibawah Kementerian Perumahan Rakyat dan Pekerjaan Umum (PUPR),” tambah dia.<\/p>\n

Selain itu, 280 SMK yang tersebar di berbagai wilayah Tanah Air akan direvitalisasi. Kemendikbud meminta daerah untuk membantu revitalisasi.<\/p>\n

Muhadjir mengatakan, setiap satu sekolah yang direvitalisasi membutuhkan dana Rp10 miliar hingga Rp 11 miliar. Untuk revitalisasi 280 SMK itu, membutuhkan anggaran mencapai Rp 2,8 triliun dengan asumsi satu sekolah memakan biaya Rp10 miiar.<\/p>\n

Namun, ada juga revitalisasi di beberapa SMK yang biayanya kurang dari Rp10 miliar. Salah satunya revitalisasi SMK di wilayah Semarang, Jawa Tengah, yang menghabiskan biaya revitalisasi sebesar Rp7 miliar.
