Pelindo IV Cabang Ternate, Noldy Wangkay, mengatakan karena sudah tercatat dalam aset Kementerian BUMN dan Dirjen Perhubungan Laut Kemenhub, sehingga pengalihan pengelolaan Pelabuhan Rakyat\u00a0 Bastiong tak semudah membalik telapak tangan karena butuh proses panjang. \u201cDishub Malut juga menyadari itu,\u201d katanya.<\/p>\n<p>Hanya saja, Noldy tidak menjelaskan secara rinci proses yang harus dilalui untuk mendapat persetujuan pengelolaan pelabuhan Bastiong dari Pusat.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Usulan Pemprov Malut ini memang sudah disampaikan ke pusat, dan tembusanya disampaikan ke kami. Informasinya sudah ada balasanya. Kami juga tidak mengetahui secara terperinci,\u201d paparnya,<\/p>\n<p>Noldy juga mengaku, untuk pengembangan pelabuhan Bastiong sendiri pun hanya hanya bisa pada pada fasilitas darat saja. Untuk pengembangan, dermaga sudah tidak bisa lagi.<\/p>\n<p>Sebab, pelabuhan ersebut dikepulng sejumlah pelabuhan. Di bagian utara, ada pelabuhan perikanan. Di selatan terdapat pelabuhan penyebrangan. Belum lagi terdapat sungai. Kalaupun dilakukan pengerukan akan terjadi pendangkalan. \u201c Kalaupun ada perbaikan itu hanya pada sisi daratnya saja yang selama ini selalu kita lakukan,\u201d sambungnya.<\/p>\n<p>Dia menyebut, pendapatan dari pelabuhan rakyat bastiong memang cukup besar.
