HARIANHALMAHERA.COM– <\/em><\/strong>Keseriusan pemerintah untuk memperketat peredaran barang, terutama barang hasil pencurian atau illegal, akan dibuktikan pada Agustus nanti. Ya, Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika (Kemkominfo) akan memberlakukan regulasi IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).<\/p>\n

Mengutip CNNIndonesia.com, Direktur Jenderal (Dirjen) Sumber Daya dan Perangkat Pos dan Informatika (SDPPI) Ismail mengatakan IMEI\u00a0 dijadikan senjata untuk menjegal peredaran dan perdagangan ponsel curian dan ilegal.<\/p>\n

“Kita punya target Agustus itu ada penandatanganan aturan yang dilakukan tiga kementerian, yaitu Kominfo, Kementerian Perdagangan dan Kementerian Perindustrian,” kata Ismail usai acara konferensi pers diskusi The 25th Asia-Pacific Wireless Group di Tangerang, Senin (1\/7).<\/p>\n

Padahal, sebelumnya, Kominfo sempat menjanjikan bahwa aturan ini akan diberlakukan pada akhir 2018. Ismail menjelaskan implementasi IMEI masih jauh di depan mata meskipun aturan telah diberlakukan. Pasalnya masih ada tahap uji coba agar IMEI bisa diberlakukan secara efektif<\/p>\n

Draf konsep peraturan yang tengah disiapkan Kemenperin adalah Permen Basis Data IMEI Perangkat Telekomunikasi Bergerak. Sementara Kominfo menyiapkan draf Permen Sistem Registrasi Identifikasi dan Pemblokiran Perangkat Bergerak.<\/p>\n

Kominfo akan berwenang mengatur bagaimana data IMEI dikelola bersama operator untuk melakukan pemblokiran ponsel ilegal. Di sisi lain, Kemenperin akan mengatur pengadaan basis data IMEI.<\/p>\n

Ketika regulasi IMEI diberlakukan, ponsel-ponsel dengan nomor IMEI yang tidak legal bisa diblokir layanannya oleh seluruh operator di Indonesia.
