HARIANHALMAHERA.COM–<\/strong><\/em>Dalam rangka mengantisipasi lonjakan harga bawang rica tomat (barito), mantan Kepala Dinas Pangan Saiful Turuy yang notabene peserta pelatihan kepemimpinan (PIM) nasional tingkat II punya inoivasi yang menjadi project perubahan diklat PIM yakni melalui Obor Pangan Lestari (Opal).<\/p>\n

Saiful menilai, masalah yang dihadapi saat ini adalah kemampuan produksi domestik akibat
\ntingginya biaya produksi serta masyarakat dan pasokan swasta dari luar daerah belum mampu memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi cabe di Malut.<\/p>\n

Karena itu, pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan adalah salah satu langkah untuk menekan harga cabe. “Dan kita juga rekayasa teknologi inovasi sederhana dengan biaya rendah dengan invoasi Opal,” katanya.<\/p>\n

Penanam cabe di lahan pekarangan kantor dan rumah dengan inovasi Opal merupakan salah satu solusi untuk membantu penyedia Cabe secara berkelanjutan, selain memenuhi pangan dan gizi keluarga, juga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga dari kelebihan hasil panen bisa di jual ke pasar.<\/p>\n

Menyikapai harga cabe yang fluktuatif, sudah tentu terjadi setiap tahun maka penanaman cabe di lahan pekerangan rumah maupun perkantoran, melalui inovasi Opal merupakan salah satu solusi untuk membantu dan mendukung penyediaan cabai di Malut.<\/p>\n

Potensi pemanfataan lahan pekaranagan sangat mudah untuk dilakikan, karena menurut
\nmenteri pertanian terdapat 10 juta hektar lahan pekarangan, 126 juta wanita dan 67 jiwa rumah tangga selurih indonesia, dan susai data sensus 2018, jumlah penduduk Malut 1 juta jiwa lebih, terhitung mengkomsumsi cabai sebesar 2,77 kg\/tahun dan kebutuhan sebesar 3,04 kg\/tahun, \u201cDengan potensi terwebut maka upaya peningkatana ketahan pangan dan gizi kekuarga dapat terpenuhi khususnya kebetuhan cabe rumah tangga,\u201d tukasnya.
