Para siswanya mampu meracik obat pencegah penyakit serangan jantung. Uniknya lagi, bahan dasar obat penyakit nomor satu di dunia itu dari buah lokal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">DR dr Arend Mapanawang saat mendampingi para siswa SMK Makariwo jurusan kesehatan menjelaskan, obat herbal pencegah serangan jantung itu berbahan baku buah orange. Buah tersebut di Halmahera selama ini dikenal hanya sebagai makanan burung.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSaya merasa bangga dan memberikan apresiasi terhadap siswa SMK Makario yang telah berhasil meracik obat herbal serangan jantung,\u201d kata dr Arend memuji siswa-siswa binaannya, Rabu (26\/2).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">dr Arend yang juga belakangan diketahui turut meracik obat antibiotic virus Corona mengaku, keberhasilan itu tidak terlepas dari kerja keras Kepala sekolah SMK Makariwo Nusgisnto Tjitjipo dan guru jurusan\u00a0 kesehatan Imelda Tjitjipo. Keduanya ikut menjadi pembimbing dan mengawal penelitian siswa, termasuk identifikasi bahan dasar tersebut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cHasil penelitian para siswa itu benar-benar terbukti. Hal itu berdasarkan hasil uji sampel yang dikrim ke laboratorium kesehatan DKI Jakarta yang ternyata diinformasikan mengandung senyawa diltiazem\u00a0 yang selama ini dipakai untuk hipertensi dan jantung,\u201d terang dr Arend yang juga Ketua Stikmah Tobelo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Karya temuan herbal pelajar SMK Makario tersebut, lanjutnya, dalam waktu singkat akan dipatenkan dan diproduksi sebanyak mungkin sebagai suplemen kesehatan anti hipertensi dan pencegahan serangan jantung atau nyeri dada (Angina Pectoris).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cProgram ini nanti akan berkolaborasi dengan Stikmah Tobelo dan PT. HMS untuk industri herbal jamu suplemen kesehatan. Ini langkah maju inovasi dari bangku SMK. Jadi akan didukung sejak awal, sehingga saat lanjut ke jenjang perkuliahan ke Stikmah sudah miliki pengetahuan riset,\u201d tandasnya.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Diketahui, buah orange yang dikenal di Halmahera sebagai makanan burung dikenal juga dengan nama latin mamordica cochinchinensis (lour). Spreng . Buah ini masuk family cucurbitaceae atau umbi-umbian.
